A backpacking stove works when you’re carrying everything. At a car campsite, you want something bigger. The CampChef 2-Burner is the stove most camp cooks actually use.
Each burner puts out 20,000 BTU, which is more heat than most home kitchen ranges. You can boil a large pot of water in about 3 minutes, cook eggs over medium heat without burning them, and run both burners at full power at the same time without either one struggling.
The matchless ignition works reliably down to about 40F. Below that you may need a lighter. The windscreen on three sides keeps the flame steady in a light breeze.
Connects to a standard 1lb propane canister with the included adapter, or to a 20lb bulk tank with a separately sold hose. The bulk tank option makes more economic sense if you camp more than a few times per year.
Legs fold flat and the whole unit fits in a bag about the size of a briefcase. The grates are cast iron, dishwasher safe, and removable for cleaning.

Good product overall. Works well for the price. I took off one star because the carrying bag could be a bit bigger, but that’s a minor thing. Would recommend.

Brought this to a group camping trip and got compliments from everyone. Looks nicer than I expected and functions even better. Five stars, easy.

Used this all weekend at a campground in Colorado. No complaints. It does exactly what the description says it does, which is honestly all I ask for.
