Down bags are great until they get wet. Synthetic fill like this bag uses doesn’t lose its warmth when moisture gets in, which matters a lot on spring and fall trips.
The BaseTemp 32F uses a continuous filament polyester fill rated to 32F comfort, 25F lower limit. The shell is 50D ripstop polyester with a DWR coating that sheds light rain and morning condensation.
The mummy shape has a full-length zipper with an anti-snag guard, a zippered draft collar, and a hood with a single tightening cord. The zipper lets you mate two bags together if you happen to have two of the same model.
Packs down to about 10 x 15 inches with the compression sack included. Washes clean in a front-load machine with no drama.
This bag makes more sense than a down bag if you camp in the shoulder seasons, visit humid climates, or just don’t want to baby your gear. You lose a bit of packability but gain a bag you can actually trust when the weather gets unpredictable.

Solid buy. I’ve used cheaper versions of this from other brands and this is noticeably better. Wish it came in more colors, but functionally it’s great.

I’m new to camping and this was perfect for getting started. Easy to figure out, good build quality, and the price didn’t break the bank. Really happy with it.

This was a gift for my brother who camps a lot. He said it’s one of the better ones he’s owned. Packaging was good and shipping was fast.
