Foods that help and hurt acne are good – Honey & Cinnamon

It’s always good to know what foods help and hurt acne. Here I have listed the foods which are best for your skin. A few months ago, I noticed that my face was horrible. I had pimples on my chin, forehead, cheek, nose, and upper lip. My skin looked red and bumpy. I felt like I had a bad case of acne. I tried many over-the-counter products, but none helped me get rid of my acne. I decided to try home remedies. One of them is honey, and the Other of them is Cinnamon.

Honey

Honey has unique properties, which make it one of the best remedies for acne. Honey is high in sugar and acidity, perfect for acne-prone skin. It also helps moisturize the skin and soothes the pimples. Honey is rich in enzymes, vitamins, and minerals, which help treat acne. You can use honey as a face mask or mix it with lemon juice. Another of them is Cinnamon.

Cinnamon

Cinnamon is one of the best natural home remedies for acne. It is an antiseptic that reduces inflammation and kills bacteria that leads to acne. Cinnamon is rich in antioxidants which make it great for your skin. If you have dry skin, mix cinnamon powder with honey and apply it to the affected areas. You can also add it to warm water and drink it regularly.

REMEDIES

I made a mixture of one teaspoon of honey and a teaspoon of cinnamon powder, put them in water, and left them overnight. In the morning, I washed my face with a warm washcloth and felt much better. I continued this process for two weeks. By the end of this period, I noticed that my acne was clearing up, and there was hardly any pimple on my face.

Lemon Juice

Lemon is another excellent remedy for acne. It is known to reduce pimples and prevent blackheads. It is very effective in exfoliating the skin and makes it soft and smooth. You can mix lemon juice with aloe vera gel and apply it to the affected areas. Another home remedy for acne is using lemon juice. Mix one teaspoon of lemon juice and three tablespoons of honey. Leave it overnight. In the morning, wash your face with a washcloth and rinse it. This helps dry your skin.

Rose Water

Rose water is good for the skin because of its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. It also contains vitamins C and A, which are beneficial for your skin. It’s best to keep it in the fridge for long-term storage. You can use it as a face mask or mix it with rosewater.

Bananas

Banana is full of potassium and nutrients that help improve your skin’s complexion, and it also works wonders in getting rid of the dead cells responsible for acne. To make bananas a perfect home remedy for acne, you should mash them and use them as a face mask.

Almond Oil

Almond oil is an excellent alternative to olive oil as it has high antioxidant content. Almond oil helps improve the skin’s condition and prevents acne, and it also heals your skin and reduces scars.

Tomato

Tomatoes are rich in lycopene, which helps prevent acne, and are also high in vitamin A, essential for your skin. You can use tomato pulp in making face masks and wash your face with them.

Avocado

Avocado is good for your skin because it contains vitamins C, A, and B6. It also has some natural moisturizing agents, which make it great for dry and oily skin.

Coconut Milk

Coconut milk is one of the best foods to fight against acne. It is high in vitamin E and also has high amounts of protein. You can use it in the form of a face.
